While the average age of many congregations has been rising for some years, older people's ministry is becoming even more important due to a major demographic shift in the nation as a whole- the growth in the sixty-plus age range. This study examines the lives, experiences, fears and gifts of older people in the church, and reflects on the biblical picture of old age. It calls for full recognition of the value and worth of senior citizens in every church, and shows how ministry to older people can be conducted.
