About Us

Keith Jones Christian Bookshop was founded in the 1950s, when the Bournemouth branch of Pickering and Inglis closed down. From small beginnings we have grown into one of the largest independent Christian bookshops in the UK.

We have now been suppling quality Christian resources to individuals, churches, schools and libraries for over 65 years and our customers include pastors, church leaders, Bible students, missionaries, youth workers and the public from all around the UK and across the world. Our reputation is built on our unique and extensive stock range of around 30,000 books in stock, as well as music, DVDs and gift lines too. We hold one of the largest ranges of Bibles in the UK, with over 20 translations and paraphrases to choose from.

What else can we offer?

  • Mail Order: Orders accepted by phone or email (please do not email us you credit card details) as well as online via the website.
  • Events: We have a wide experience of providing bookstalls for all types of events from 20 people to many thousands. We can resource your conference, exhibition, camp, festival or any other event.
  • Church Bookstalls: We operate a Book Agency scheme in dozens of churches who take a selection of books on sale-or-return and earn commission on their sales.
  • Discount Scheme: We offer a structured discount scheme for large orders, including pew Bibles and music books. We also offer 10% discount to full-time Christian workers (ministers, pastors, youth workers, etc...), missionaries, Bible college students and 12.5% discount to all schools. To claim your discount online simply sign up for the appropriate membership which will apply to all online orders once we authorise the discount.
  • Coffee Area: Hot drinks, fruit juice and fair trade snacks and a comfortable seating area.
  • Vouchers: Both the National Book Tokens and our own Gift Vouchers. We also operate a Gift Certificate service through the website.

Second-hand Books

Our popular second-hand book department is a great way to find that hard-to-find or out of print book with some fantastic bargains to be had. We are delighted to support the work of Book Aid by passing on many of the books we are given, as well as through the proceeds of second-hand book sales.

Please note that we do not purchase second-hand books, but do take donations of books as long as they are in reasonable condition. We cannot take books that are missing covers or pages or are falling apart. We are unable to take the following types of second-hand books:

  • Dated reading notes and magazines
  • Tracts and booklets
  • Small-group Bible study books (even if unused)
  • Music books

Please do sort through any books you are looking to donate to avoid books being disposed of.

If you would like more details on these or any of our other services, please contact us.

Affiliate Schemes

We are members of two affiliate schemes giving you access to millions of titles beyond our normal stock range, whilst still allowing you to support us as a local, independent bookshop. Please note that a book's inclusion on one of these sites does not necessarily imply that we endorse its contents. We have no control over the content of these sites, nor of the prices that they charge for books.
