Present on Earth is the third book in this series. Its predecessors, Cloth for the Cradle and Stages on the Way, dealt with the great seasons of Christmas and Easter respectively. This volume provides prayers, dialogues, meditations and worship ideas covering the three years of Christ's earthly ministry. It is therefore a book about an extraordinary life particularly remembered during what the Church calls 'Ordinary Time'.
The material has been gathered from over fifteen years in which the Wild Goose Worship Group, associated with the Iona Community, engaged with people of faith and doubt. In workshops and worship services they explored the stories, characters and teaching of the Gospel in ways which presume neither biblical knowledge nor religious commitment. And this because Jesus did not come to start the Church, but to announce the reign of God in the places of common life and meeting.
