But what is Paraclesis?
Put simply, it means 'one who comes alongside'. It's people joining with other people to help and care for others. It's the role the Church was born to fill.
So that's what Trevor Partridge wants to do, help the Church fill that role in the world.
He's made a six-week guide to enable and support the Church, not only in show why help is important but in how as well. Knowing how to help is the most difficult stumbling block to caring. One of many.
But there is hope for the Church to be a place of care for the community.
Each of the six-week's topics is made of daily readings and reflections set to only last 10-15 minutes at a time. Each day is filled with verses, sermon notes, action plans, and a space to write notes and thoughts and ideas. Yet, in such a short time, the Church can grow it's love of, and ability to, care.
