The autobiography of an Australian missionary to the children of Kitgum, northern Uganda.
On 21 July 2013 Mama Irene passed away surrounded by her family in Sydney, Australia. Although there was much sadness with this news, Irene left a wonderful legacy, helping many thousands of children to receive food, education, healthcare, vocational training and spiritual nourishment. To the people of Kitgum, Uganda, she was a hero who brought love to war-affected children, hope to the hopeless, and help to those who needed to rebuild their future. This is her story.
