Whatever the successes of church planting, it has made little impact in re-establishing the church in the inner city. And yet these urban contexts highlight the issues, of social fragmentation and post-Christendom, that in reality the whole church faces and from which we all must learn. This challenging study looks at the work of Urban Expression, a network of urban church planters, and draws out the key lessons of strategy, training, motivation and resourcing – from this demanding but exciting work.
