An exiting adventure story based upon a Russian peasant family living high up in the Ural mountains. It follows them through an era of great trouble and explores their complicated lives. in the nineteen sixties, many people of the then Soviet Socialist Republic had been forced out of their traditions especialy the churchgoers, these good people formed an organisation known as the underground churh. It was all part of a master plan formulated by the Communist State to abolish religion and promote atheism . This would remove any contro the priests held over the populace, forcing the churches to close their doors. The illegal church mambers when caught were subject to: beatings, imprisonment, mercury imjections and even death meted out by the State authorities The new laws that had been introduced split both young an old until eventually all of Russia had been effected. The family in my story the Krushions, were no exception to these strict and stiffling rules. Until that point of time there had never been a dispute in this close knit family. Now through most of the relatives deep religious faith there was division! Sadly it was through Yorgi the athiest son of Mama Alexia joining the Red Army. He gets involved with the KGB also the secret police and becomes responsible for the destruction of his family along with members of the underground church! The story involves a Jewish escape network under the very streets of Moscow, a network that through many obstructions is ordered to lead Yorgi to his own family with the Armies aim being to destroy them.
