Camrianne Coulter receives a letter from her brother Caleb a successful attorney, at the beginning of each month. When three months go by without a letter, she contacts his household staff and finds no one has heard from him. She travels by train to San Francisco, California. Upon arrival Camrianne finds Caleb’s office ransacked as if a thief had been there. Patrick Murdock is one of Caleb’s clients and the only person who has a clue what may have happened. The closer they get to the truth, the more in danger they become.
