The genesis of LEELAND’s new album City of God came from the band wanting to write a collection of songs that encouraged a deeper conversation of who God is, and how art has a profound power to invite people into a more intimate relationship with Him. ‘City of God’ introduces a new collection of songs of hope in the middle of the chaos and upheaval in our lives, songs of intimacy with the Lord, and songs of God’s justice. Through this album, LEELAND lean into a fearless exploration of a pastoral and prophetic voice of worship where songs are sung together and over the people of God, reminding the Church to embody the hope of the City of God.
