Spurgeon wrote, "Standing at the foot of the Cross, we see hands, feet, and side, all pouoring forth crimson streams of precious blood. It is 'precious' because of its redeeming and atoning power. By it the sins of Christ's people are atoned for, they are redeemed from under the Law, reconciled to God, and made one with Him." He goes on to point out that the blood of Jesus is precious in ;its purifying power, its preserving power, its sanctifying influencek and its overcoming power. He said, "Those who fight with the precious blood of Jesus Christ fight with a weapon that cannot know defeat. By trusting the power of Jesus blood, we will always conquer!" Spurgeon preached often about the precious blood of Jesus Christ as the only way for a sinner to be saved. He procalinmed that the blood of Jesus was the life of all vital godliness. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin, past, present, and future, and it enables us to draw near to God each day. 'If you've ever come to the sprinkling blood, you'll feel your need o focming to it every day. Those who don't desire to wash in it every day have never washed in it at all' (From Morning by Morning by Charles H. Spurgeon).
