God comes down one night to speak to all the animals. He says that he has noted how cruelly treated they are. He tells them that at some time in the future there will be a special night of peace. On that night no animal will hurt of kill another. They will know the time of its coming by a special star. The wolf is the first to see the star, then the fox next door, and then a hare who tells then not to just sit gawping up at it - they have a moral responsibility to tell everyone. So off they go...
