For Love's Sake is a drama by Andrew Walkington set in the U.K. in the late 1970's-early 80's. It is a powerful family drama based on actual events. In December 1978 near Manchester, England a family is shattered by a double tragedy. Two young boys find themselves in the custody of social services and placed in a series of orphanages and foster homes. Their mother seems incapable of caring for them due to her chronic depression. All begin to lose hope that their family will ever be restored. In their frailty, courage comes only through faith in a power beyond themselves.
