When the family car is hit by a joyrider, Chloe (known to her friends as "Clo") escapes with bruises, but her sister Beth is seriously injured and returns home in a wheelchair. As Beth's recovery slowly progresses, the girls discover the day-to-day problems faced by someone in a wheelchair.
